Six years ago, in 2014, Singapore specifically designed a SKIMC framework for organisations to assess their willingness to use the knowledge and intangible assets to thrive in the volatile and uncertain external environment in which they operate. The key to success for organisations is a focus on collaboration, creativity and innovation as a means to adapt and address complex uncertainties in business processes effectively.

This SKIMC framework allows organisations to assess their knowledge system based on the following key areas: strategy, leadership, culture, process, technology, and interaction. As a result, the company receives a conclusion – how ready it is for a new era, a modern economy, how Knowledge Ready Organization (KRO) is.

KRO allows organisations to use external SKIMC experts to assess their progress in six areas of SKIMC independently. More than an audit or just an award, it is a professional, procedural assessment by experts of your organisation’s strengths and areas for future development.

PURPOSE OF THE AWARD:

Is to assess the company’s willingness to use the knowledge and intangible assets to thrive in the volatile and uncertain external environment in which they operate. The key to success for organisations is a focus on collaboration, creativity and innovation as a means of effectively adapting and addressing complex uncertainties in business processes.

AWARD NOMINATION PROCEDURE:

The assessment structure of the nominee companies includes six main sections that form the company’s knowledge system: strategy, leadership, culture, process, technology and interaction.

The nominee company, recommended by the national industry community, receives a questionnaire and begins filling out open-ended questions, in which it describes the current state of affairs in the company in the indicated six areas. In the course of filling in, the company undergoes an internal examination: the questions are drawn up in such a way that the leaders of the company can objectively look at the prospects for the development of the company, clearly see the strengths and what needs to be improved.

The process of filling out the questionnaire is accompanied by national experts, whose task is to help the company tell about its achievements as accurately as possible and answer the questions of the questionnaire.

Further, the questionnaire goes to an international expert council, which checks it according to the criteria. As a result, the company receives a conclusion – how ready it is for a new era, a modern economy, how Knowledge Ready Organization (KRO) is.

As a result, companies that meet the requirements of the award receive an award and a certificate that they are Knowledge Ready. It means that they are highly manageable enterprises in the new economic environment.
